sweet summer lovin'

i can't believe the summer is done and my little man is back at home with mommy.

seems like just a few days ago he ran up to me, fresh out of the airplane, to give me a nervous little hug.

ah, i looove him. soo much.

our summer consisted of too much funness. 

despite my urge (read: need) to take naps all day, every day.

yet being unable to...

 thanks to a super energetic seven year old boy who has my heart.  ;)

our summer was full of:

-too many play fights with jeffrey

-loving on his baby niece (...he was slightly disappointed haha)

-too many trips to the pool

-playground fun

- trips to the zoo

-aquarium

-insectarium

-watching movies

-lots of fishing

- AND catching lots of fish

-shooting a gun

-picking up a dead squirrel

- braving a zip line 

- reading & writing (i made him)

-petting snakes

- cooking together

-laser tag

-arcade games

-board games 

(we went a week straight playing Monopoly. every. single. night.)

- playing with legos

-playing with wrestler action figures

- glow in the dark fun

-cuddling

-new orleans adventures

-laughing

-talking

things i am already missing:

-oh, the things he said

-his sweet little voice singing (songs he's never heard) in the back of our car 

-holding hands with him

-reading and praying with him before putting him to bed

-his company

-waking him up...er trying

-his silly faces

-his pitter patter

-his lovin' 

so thankful to have had him this summer 

(and hoping he asks to come back next summer)!
