my lovely friend reminded me that i never posted the after picture of this dresser...
remember?
heeere it is!
much better, huh?
and with some old frames above it for color on my white walls.
{i can't paint them. sad. i know.}
and the cutest little white sewing machine table thingy beside it.
(someone was throwing that beauty away! no ma'am. not on my watch! haha.)
one of my favorite walls in our home.
for sure.
jeffrey's nana gave us this one too:
i changed the knobs. of course.
painted the actual drawers white, but left the borders in their natural state... for contrast.
i know we still have a little bit to go before thanksgiving,
but sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night with an overwhelming
heart of thankfulness to my God for the roof over my head.
and one that is pleasing to my eyes... i might add! wow.
all this talking about "home" is a good reminder that this is actually not my home.
"what do you mean, brigette?... you definitely titled this post 'this is home.'"
(ha.)
life is a mist, my friends. don't forget and don't let me forget!
James 4:14 "yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes."
so do not put your hope on earthly things, friends!
Matthew 6: 19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal."
focused on Christ. colossians 3:2-3.
