this post is a prayer request//catch up.
God has been using me so much here in the college station/bryan, texas area.
i have had the opportunity to share His truth like crazy.
and i love it.
and although i know God is the only one who deserves the glory for that,
my flesh tries to steal it from Him.
so that is my first prayer request!
pray that i would recognize that and stop trying to please Him with my deeds.
{Ephesians 2:8For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9not a result of works, so that no one may boast.}
second pray for the people i have been able to share with.
on tuesday nights, my husband and i have a bible study with about 8-9 sweet, international students.
some are muslim.
some are "christian." emphasis on the quotation marks.
some of them are just there to practice english.
some just need friends.
pray that they would find truth.
and on fridays mornings i do a bible study with 3-6 ladies from my job.
{which i put in my two weeks for... a prayer request in itself}
pray that they would still come.
pray that they would grasp Christ and what he did on the cross.
lastly, jeffrey graduates in december.
our lease ends in may.
and we have no idea what the plan is after.
our options:
1. new orleans for jeff to go to seminary.
2. journeyman (going overseas to do mission work for 2-3 years... this one wins my vote!).
3. stay here and pay off debt.
4. God guides us towards something else.
thanks friends!
this weekend was so fun!
here i talked about not finding my identity in earthly things.
i've been able to say no.
but it gets hard!
i expressed that to jeffrey... alot. haha.
so... on friday he came home with a little surprise for me.
my sweet man.
{funny story: i checked the bank account before he got home... and saw the purchase. haha!}
but i was smiling the whole time til he got home.
then we laughed some and smiled more.
then i got my craft on and made little candy bag tags for the trick or treaters.
i also made the most adorable wreath!
and then went to a corn maze with my boy and some friends!
...
last week was our six months! yay!
so we celebrated by going to a man up concert to see our 116 friends.
a few, quick pics from our new orleans trip:
and the mugs we made... weeks/months ago?:
wheeew! you are officially all caught up. haha.
have a great week!
