our week/weekend:
lots of driving...
well... he did most of it! ha.
Georgia for my brother in law's Ranger graduation!
thankful for these people. |
and Florida! Ahh.
New Orleans- of course.
we got back home last night.
just a few minutes back in to the real world i was reminded that i am not boss.
i was really excited to share that my season of being a house wife was officially over
because i was going back to school today to start a graphic design course!
but i'm not.
i even bought my book. :(
i was pretty bummed. i cried. hard.
i told jeffrey that i hated texas and that everything goes wrong here.
haha pretty dramatic, i know.
my plans were ruined once again.
but truth graciously rescued me last night.
i was reminded of what i read in "Jesus Calling" by Sara Young just a few days ago.
"Approach this day with awareness of who is boss. As you make plans for the day, remember that it is I who orchestrate the events of your life. On the days when things go smoothly, according to your plans, you may be unaware of My sovereign Presence. On days when your plans are thwarted, be on the lookout for Me! I may be doing something in your life, something quite different from what you expected. It is essential at such times to stay in communication with Me, accepting my way as better than yours. Don't try to figure out what is happening. Simply trust Me and thank Me in advance for the good that will come out of it all. I know the plans I have for you, and they are good."
with a new perspective, i woke up early this morning for an interview...
and got hired as a lead teacher at christian preschool! praise God.
i start tomorrow!
although i look forward pursuing graphic design someday,
i'm excited for the plans my God/boss has for me today!
Jeremiah 29
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
