I was graciously reminded of this last night as I was sitting in class and heard my phone vibrating. It was my sister in law. She called again. And again... and again... By this point I figured something happened and didn't want to answer, but I stepped outside. Crying she told me that my brother was riding his bike home from work and got hit by a car. I held my breath. She told me he was in the hospital, conscious and asking the same questions over and over. He was alive and that was more than I could ask for!
i love this kid. |
Beyooond thankful that God left him here with us for a little longer. Thankful I can rejoice instead of mourn today.Thankful that no matter what would have happened last night, my brother would have been good. He lives by faith in the Son of God, who loves him and died for him. By God's grace, he realizes that the penalty for sin is death and separation from God, but finds rest in the fact that God made a way for eternal life and reconciliation through Jesus Christ's death. For ever and ever!
Happy to say, with 15 stitches on the back of his head (ouch), he is home safe and sound!
